Our Nursery Room caters for children from 6 weeks to 15 months. Whilst this room has a broad routine we aim to follow the routine that the children follow at home. Information about your children is passed on to parents through conversations with the carers and by the children’s information books which go home in the children’s bags. These books let the parents know about their child’s day – sleeping patterns, what they have eaten and drunk, nappies and a general blurb about their day.
In the nursery we cater for individual children’s dietary requirements, from the introduction of first solids through to age appropriate meals. Staff continually discuss children’s dietary requirements with parents as they progress.
The learning stories taken in the room are aimed to provide the parents with information about their achievements and interests. These learning stories are available to parents at all times and contributions are welcomed.
The nursery has its own separate decking area leading out of the room allowing the children to move from inside to outside as they wish. This area allows the children to explore the outdoors whilst still being in a secure environment.
